Dopo aver letteralmente divorato il primo volume di questa saga, ho finalmente avuto modo di mettere le mani sul secondo. “So Wrong” si era concluso con un cliffhanger difficile da dimenticare, tra nuove domande, segreti svelati e sentimenti messi a dura prova.

Ma con “So Real” torniamo a quel momento, in una situazione più complessa che mai. Nuovi personaggi misteriosi, un vaso di Pandora spalancato nel peggiore dei modi, un’amicizia che rischia la rottura e un’altra che potrebbe salvare tutti.

Per capire alcune delle situazioni e delle dinamiche attuali dobbiamo scavare nel passato, e l’autrice lo fa donandoci capitoli con pov diversi e con linee temporali diverse. Alcune domande riceveranno risposta, scavando nell’animo dei personaggi, nel loro dolore e nelle sfide che hanno dovuto affrontare. Vedremo come tutte queste cose hanno il potere di formare e modellare una persona, portandola ad affidarsi ad altri per sopravvivere e uscire più forte di prima. Ci insegna che una volta che si è toccato il fondo non si può fare altro che risalire, ma ci mostra anche che, nel momento del bisogno, non c’è vergogna nel chiedere aiuto.

Hunter è messa davanti ad una grande sfida e non sa come poterne uscire, non di nuovo e non dopo aver già sofferto tanto. Però questa volta non è sola, e anche se le difficoltà non sono poche, sa che può farcela, con il supporto delle persone che tengono a lei.

Ed è qui che entrano in gioco prima Kabir e Levi, e successivamente anche Greedy. In questo libro, vedremo alcune dinamiche modificarsi e i ruoli sfocarsi, ed è interessante vedere tutte le possibili sfaccettature dei personaggi. Ogni persona è formata da strati, e questo vale anche per i nostri beniamini. Per cui, ho apprezzato molto come ognuno di essi cambiasse il modo di fare in base alla persona con cui stava interagendo, pur rimanendo se stessi.

A questo punto è inutile specificarlo, ma ho amato ogni singola cosa di questo libro: ogni scena (dalla più semplice a quella più emozionale), la crescita dei personaggi, la gestione di argomenti delicati ed importanti e lo stile narrativo. Consigliato al 110%!

After literally devouring the first volume of this saga, I finally had the chance to get my hands on the second.

"So Wrong" ended with a cliffhanger that was hard to forget, with new questions, secrets revealed and feelings put to the test.

«He's leaving. Good things always do. Everything I love always will.»

But with "So Real" we return to that moment, in a more complex situation than ever. New mysterious characters, a Pandora's box opened in the worst possible way, a friendship that risks breaking up and another that could save everyone.

To understand some of the current situations and dynamics we need to dig into the past, and the author does so by giving us chapters with different PoVs and different timelines. Some questions will be answered, digging into the souls of the characters, their pain and the challenges they had to face. We will see how all these things have the power to form and shape a person, leading them to rely on others to survive and come out stronger than before. It teaches us that once you hit rock bottom, there's nothing you can do but get back up, but it also shows us that, in times of need, there's no shame in asking for help.

Hunter is faced with a huge challenge and doesn't know how to get out of it, not again and not after having already suffered so much. But this time she's not alone, and even though the difficulties aren't few, she knows she can do it, with the support of the people who care about her.

«Everything has a reason, and for everything, there's a season.»

And this is where Kabir and Levi come into play first, and then Greedy. In this book, we'll see some dynamics change and roles blur, and it's interesting to see all the possible facets of the characters. Every person is made up of layers, and this also applies to our favorites. So, I really appreciated how each of them changed the way they did things based on the person they were interacting with, while remaining themselves.

At this point it is useless to specify, but I loved every single thing about this book: every scene (from the simplest to the most emotional), the growth of the characters, the handling of delicate and important topics and the narrative style. 110% recommended!
