Una storia da lieto fine ma che nasconde un intero mondo di dolore e solitudine… Questo Γ¨ come riassumerei in breve l’ultimo capitolo di questa favolosa saga. In Infatuation troviamo le radici, il presente e l’evolversi del rapporto di due ragazzi, migliori amici fin da piccoli, ma che il destino ha deciso di separare in uno dei modi piΓΉ brutali che ci siano.

Dopo mesi di silenzio stampa, Starla Γ¨ preoccupata per Timeo, e questo Γ¨ il primo approccio del libro ad un messaggio profondo. Portando il lettore a chiedersi cosa si Γ¨ capaci di fare per difendere e proteggere coloro che si ama.

Timeo ha sicuramente un grande coraggio ed Γ¨ disposto a fare molto in nome di Starla, ma tra misteri, segreti e missioni segrete, molti dubbi e domande sorgono spontanee, compreso chiedersi se chi professa amore e affetto sia ancora dalla stessa parte o sia passato dal lato di coloro che hanno fatto del male.

 

Sebbene questo nasca come un romanzo dark romance, ho trovato che qui si celi molto di piΓΉ e che si vada a fondo nelle relazioni umane. Jane ha scritto dei passaggi che sono letteralmente da crepacuore e non si puΓ² non provare emozioni tanto forti per i personaggi, non si puΓ² non entrare in empatia con loro. Ma attenzione, niente Γ¨ davvero come sembra, quindi state pronti ad avere anche momenti da fiato sospeso e momenti adrenalinici. Io posso assicurarvi che mi sono ritrovata totalmente travolta dalla storia di Starla e Timeo, e vedere come il loro rapporto Γ¨ evoluto Γ¨ qualcosa che segna profondamente il lettore. Nient’altro da dire se non che lo consiglierΓ² da qui all’infinito, anche a coloro che non leggono il genere, anzi, forse a loro in modo particolare!

 

PS: consiglio, comunque, di controllare i Trigger Warnings, alcuni temi sono particolarmente delicati.

A story with a happy ending but which hides a whole world of pain and loneliness... This is how I would briefly summarize the last chapter of this fabulous saga. In Infatuation we find the roots, the present and the evolution of the relationship of two boys, best friends since childhood, but who fate decided to separate in one of the most brutal ways there is.

After months of silence, Starla is worried about Timeo, and this is the book's first approach to a profound message. Leading the reader to ask himself what he can do to defend and protect those he loves.

Timeo certainly has great courage and is willing to do a lot in Starla's name, but among mysteries, secrets and secret missions, many doubts and questions arise spontaneously, including wondering if those who profess love and affection are still on the same side or have moved on from side of those who have done evil.

 

Although this was born as a dark romance novel, I found that there is much more hidden here and that it delves deeper into human relationships. Jane has written passages that are literally heartbreaking, and you can't help but feel such strong emotions for the characters, you can't help but empathize with them. But be careful, nothing is really as it seems, so be ready for breathless moments and adrenaline-filled moments too. I can assure you that I found myself totally overwhelmed by the story of Starla and Timaeus, and seeing how their relationship evolved is something that deeply affects the reader. Nothing else to say other than that I will recommend it from here to infinity, even to those who don't read the genre, or rather, perhaps to them in particular!

 

PS: however, I recommend checking the Trigger Warnings, some topics are particularly delicate.
