📚 ENGLISH VERSION
Have you happened to hear any little squeals of joy—or frustration—over the last few days? If so, that might have been me, completely losing my mind while reading the new book by Tessa—an author I’ve come to absolutely adore!
In this installment, we return to the same universe as her previous series, but with new characters—though you might have already met one of them in the Wolves of Crescent Creek saga. Who are we talking about?
None other than the mysterious and elusive Rhys—a friend of Ender’s who played a key role in helping our beloved past characters from the earlier books.
As if that weren’t enough, great power brings great responsibility—and with it, the need for balance. She requires an anchor—someone to help her come to terms with her own abilities. Or perhaps… four someones: some of the most powerful vampires in the entire realm. These four creatures share nothing but their nature; they are enemies to one another—and to her as well. Sometimes, destiny or fate has a strange way of working—of bringing people or creatures together. Yet, it is often from the most unlikely circumstances that the most precious things emerge: love and mutual support. But the road to reaching this point is long; it requires confronting centuries of animosity and enmity, the painful pasts that each character carries, and the deep physical and psychological wounds that have left their mark. Furthermore, the protagonist must discover her true self, all while resisting the crushing weight of external expectations and the threat of an enemy.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys vampires, intrigue, and mystery, and who is looking for a story that will both make them smile and give them something to think about.
